Editing and Proofreading Work

I enjoy writing (especially technical writing), but I also like to proofread and edit others' writing. Providing these services gratis for projects I'm interested in is just one way that I like to give back.

These are some of the projects I've helped out in this way.

Learn Python The Hard Way

I provided proofreading and editing feedback to Zed Shaw while he authored the first edition of this great beginner's Python programming book. I also designed the book's first website.

Riak Handbook

Prior to joining Basho as a full time employee, I contributed some proofreading and edits to Matthias Meyer's excellent book on the distributed data storage system Riak.

Two Scoops of Django

Audrey Roy and Daniel Greenfeld are two of the nicest folks in the Django community so it was an honor for me to provide them with some proofing and editing feedback on Two Scoops of Django: Best Practices for Django 1.5, their first edition of a great Django book.
